Last night Christopher Lee read me Alice in Wonderland

Normally I don’t really spend much time in libraries, don’t get me wrong, I love books, especially the ones with pictures, but I much, much prefer being read too. Mum always blames that fact on why I have atrocious spelling (thankfully my job has helped me correct my phonetically-spelling ways).
Anyway point of the story…that would be that last night I ventured to a library.
Not any ordinary run-of-the-mill library, but the British Library, home of the Original Alice in Wonderland manuscripts. I was there for ‘Curiouser and Curiouser – The Genius of Alice in Wonderland’ hosted by Mark Sailsbury (He wrote Burton on Burton about, Tim Burton). A talk about Alice, in the anticipation of Tim Burton’s new film.
Running a little late, as I usually do, we somehow managed to score seats second row.
We heard from literally great, and great Alice enthusiast, Will Self
Richard Zanuck, producer on Alice and other not so well known films, Jaws, Driving Miss Daisy etc
Christopher Lee (awesome!) who plays the Jabberwocky
And Michael Sheen (hilarious) who plays the White Rabbit, with Blair hands apparently.
They mused about Alice, Tim and all things Wonderland but by far, the highlight would have been hearing passages read by Mr. Sheen and Mr. Lee. Because I really do like having books read to me.All I needed was a hot Milo and I think I could have slept there all night.
Usually I wouldn't write so much, but it was just so good. Oh and I also drew some stuff...

I went snowboarding the other week, and it was AWESOMETOWN!
If i build a lodge it would totally have little bunny motifs in the wooden railing.

I have rediscovered colours

I thought it was all about black and white and little sketchy lines, but in an post-Christmas sale impulse purchase of water colours paints I have rediscovered goodness in colour.
Here is the start of a rather late Christmas present for my parents; a set of blank cards. Bunnies of course. I really should expand my subject matter.
