The Story Behind that Strokes Album Cover
<< Back
A documentary... kind of Jan 30, 2008 at 03:00
The model for the Strokes' This Is It album cover has been revealed and has told the story about the "controversial" cover art. The model was dating photogapher Colin Lane, and apparently he set up the whole shot on a whim, after she jumped out of the shower. A whim? Poor bugger must have spent countless hours figuring out whether having an amazingly nice bare arse on an album cover would sell.

Anyway, here's the video explaining how it all happened.

Is This It from Goldenfiddle on Vimeo.

A little stoops. But still, now you know.
