A little nerdy, a little preppy, a little rad Feb 04, 2008 at 10:01
Japanese label Sophnet has just released its new collection. And while, perhaps, a whole Sophnet outfit might be a little too preppy for your Average Joe (we love you, Average Joes), a few pieces here and there will make the fellas look schmick. Because everybody loves a man in a shirt.

Nice cuts, nice colours, nice fabrics, and it's very possible that I'd want to marry the man who could wear the matching check shirt and hooded jacket without looking like a really lame frat boy.

However, the Sophnet collection isn't flawless; I purposely left the 3/4 slightly flared tracksuit pants out of the gallery to save your eyes.

Found through selectism.com and you can see the rest of the Sophnet collection at soph.net.

no way could I wear that stuff.... I guess I am too much of an average joe! On a serious note... those are the most unattractive models I've seen in a long time... Did that sound gay? Maybe I could wear that hoodie....
False New Lounger
The collection is quite ok but I think needs more time to develop if the label wants to evolve. What they have created is a cross between American Ralph Laurent with nostalgic British wear. The blue tailored jacket with the nice rounded collared buttoned shirt is quite nice, however they are been made better by Peter Jensen or Jean Touitou's A.P.C.
