Sex and vintage motorcycle advertising

Brand advertising for the most part is all about selling the dream or the ideal lifestyle that the marketers believe their audience want to live and in may cases the actual product is seemingly insignificant and some times invisible. If you believe that to be true then the bikies of the 50s, 60s and 70s were romantic preppie college boys dreaming of serenading their Doris Day or enjoying rides through the countryside and picnics by the lake with their loved one. Not the typical image you might associate with the bikies of more recent times.
In the following gallery is a collection of Motorcycle print advertisements selling the bikie dreams of yesterday. Some brands focus on romance and others sex but in general the message is motorbike + you come part  and parcel with sex and beautiful women... not rocket science really but fascinating all the same.

So much gold in there. Move up to a MAN's Motorcycle. Love it. What a compelling argument.

You cant beat a classic piece of British muscle between your legs... Fuck. that came out wrong. The early Triumph Thunderbird's are one of the nicest looking bikes, ever.
True Respect
Yeah but in that first Triumph poster it's like the woman is saying "I think a bit of the engine fell off back there."
False Respect
There's a high chance it did.

And I'll wager that the owner of Norton motorcycles was banging that chick. She's in every frikken ad.
