New York-based artist Rosemarie Fiore makes explosive work. And quite literally so, as her ‘firework drawings’ are created by bombing blank sheets of paper with different fireworks and creating collages from the explosions. Simultaneously destructive and constructive – we like it.
Aside from this project, Fiore has also made works by running over self-help books and whoopee cushions with a hot rod lawnmower (which is exactly how we feel about those two items) and also squirting a mixture of transmission fluid, engine treatment, motor oil and car wax onto a Subaru Legacy wagon’s active rear wiper to create "toxic rainbows".
