M.I.A. has given Tenacious D a beat-down. Of the cyber kind. Apparently Miss Arulpragasam thinks she a bit better than Jack Black and that other dude who sing that song that was popular that one time a few years ago. You know the one. When they sing about how great they are and then there's a monster?
M.I.A. was all ready to perform at the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival in San Francisco but apparently only booked the show because the Beastie Boys were playing. Since MCA's cancer diagnosis, the Beastie Boys pulled out of the show and M.I.A. is ready to stab a bitch:
"I ORIGINALLY BOOKED ON SHOWS COZ BEASTIES WERE HEADLINERS , BUT NOW THEY AINT DOING IT AND I JUS WANNA SAY , WE HAVE TO GO HARD!!! CANT BELIEVE THEY REPLACED BEASTIES WITH TENACIOUS D ??????????????????????AND IF I PULL OUT THEY SUE! SO REALLY? TENACIOUS D AFTER ME ? SO ME AND JACK BLACK ARE BACK TO BACK, BEASTIES GET WELL SOON! YOUR ALL WELCOME ON STAGE FROM THE GET GO, FUCK IT! IM TAKIN BIRD FLU OUT OF THE SET ! JUS TO MAKE A POINT!"
Hope she doesn't break her MacBook Air. Tenacious D have nothing on the Beastie Boys, the lady has a point. AN ALL CAPS POINT. Exclamation mark.

I like Black and TD but frankly when one is expecting the Beasties, the replacement is a TOTAL LETDOWN. (see I can cap too!)

Shamed to say it, but School of Rock got me into rock music. Black is shit in almost everything else, but kills in SOR.

Tenacious D are what they are. They shouldn't be headlining any festival that doesn't have the word Comedy in the title. But anyone, and I mean ANYONE who wants to rip into them, can start forming an orderly queue within swinging distance of my right fist.

A friend of mine went to this festival, said M.I.A did a cover of Sabotage for the Beasties, and it was awesome. That is all.
