Kings Way - The Beginnings of Australian Graffiti - Book Launch
A solid gathering appeared at Melbourne's Australian Centre of the Moving Image on Saturday night to mark the creation and release of the most significant historical document on Melbourne's graffiti heritage, Kings Way - The Beginnings of Australian Graffiti, Melbourne 1983 - 1993. The crowd size was obviously well above what was anticipated by the Federation Square host and was subsequently closed down early out for what I assume was fear of rowdiness. Bummer. Not before we heard some wise and humble words from the book's co-conspirators Duro Cubrilo, Martin Harvey and Karl Stamer.
Some pics below from the launch.
