Kelly Thompson believes bookworms never go to bed alone
<< Back
Ooh la boudoir Jul 01, 2009 at 10:11
Australians always make fun of New Zealanders which isn't really fair because when they're not migrating to our fair land they're busy being a pretty talented bunch.

Kelly Thompson is one of the talented ones – almost greedily so – with amazing gifts for photography and illustration. Thompson's illustrations are often earthy, feminine and bolshy and she has worked with clients like Wooden Toy, Mimco, Curvy and Semi-Permanent.

If you're in Melbourne you can see some of Thompson's cute-sexy bookish types at Bookworms Never Go To Bed Alone exhibition at Gorker Gallery, Fitzroy. Opening night is Thursday 2nd July.

They are nice, but too easy. Also I'm pretty sure she copied a few from Vogue. They have an air of "photos painted over".
False New Lounger
nah ive seen the originals theyre pencil sketches and not from vogue

Just to clarify: The works are drawn on recycled card with coloured pencils, recoloured in Photoshop and then printed as giclées.
