k-os (AKA Kevin Brereton) is a mostly slept on musician who scored a little attention with his syrupy 'Sunday Morning' a few years ago. Now the Canadian MC is releasing his fifth studio album, Yes!. His brand of rock/funk/reggae-inspired hip hop is all about lots of sampling and awesome cuts, this time along with collaborations with Nelly Furtado and Saukrates.
The k-os take on Phantom Planet's 'California' – a song that divides people – is given a new flavour in 'I Wish I Knew Natalie Portman' and it tastes different. Also, regardless of how it sounds, that is a good song title.
