Julian Callos makes creepy fairytales
<< Back
Disney skulls Oct 08, 2009 at 03:31
Remember Disney's The Sorcerer's Apprentice? When all the buckets came to life and threatened to drown little Mickey, and it was a little morbid and scary? Los Angeles-based artist Julian Callos seems to have embraced that version of Disney. The version that is semi-sweet but with a really sinister undertone. The way fairytales used to be.

Creating artworks involving skulls, creepy men, day of the dead motifs, drownings and all kinds of macabre themes, Callos's work is still pretty to look at. And that is a skill.
