Downtown 81 Trailer Views: 2123
Starring Jean Michel Basquiat Mar 12, 2009 at 11:40

Directed by Edo Bertoglio, written by Glenn O'Brien  Downtown 81 is a film starring Jean-Michel Basquiat set in post punk era Manhattan in the early 80s. Through a lack of cash, the film was abandoned during production in the mid 80s but thankfully artist/stylist/produce Maripol dug and cleaned it up in the late 90s and allowed it to screen at Cannes in 2000.

There will be an exclusive screening in Melbourne in a few weeks. Check the details below.

Dowtown 81 Screening
Wednesday 25th March
Como Theatre - 123 Chapel Street
6PM Cocktails & Canapes, Screening at 7:15PM
Exclusive Q & A to follow
Tickets $25 (AFA Members) & $30 (non AFA Members)
Tickets available here
