Billboard slashing and silhouettes by SAM3
<< Back
SAM3 but different Oct 16, 2009 at 10:16
Spanish street artist SAM3 completely has his own thing going on. His unique murals combine simplistic silhouetted forms associated with tribal art and ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs with iconic and sometimes poetic modern day and mythical themes. The scale of his work (generally fucking massive) and the starkness of the large areas of solid black carved into our urban landscapes are both are equally as thought provoking and imposing as they are beautiful. His walls and billboard slashes are all over Europe but he also has created murals an installations as far as Buenos Aires and NYC.

Below is a small animated piece painted and edited by Same3 in San Jose, California this August and to the right of this post is a small collection of some of his amazing mural. For more please visit SAM3 and his blog here.

How? Putting aside the genious of the designs and women shooting babies. How the flip does he cover six stories of an office building in the middle of the city?!
